Rules:

• UWGB and NCAA rules will be in effect unless noted below

• Traditional Hmong rules will be in enforced

If more than 12 teams:

• Double elimination play will be in effect

• Sets will be scored traditionally

  • Best out of three (3) sets

​

• All sets will be played to 15 points, win by two; capped at 17 points
   

If 12 teams or less:

• Pool play will be in effect

  • Sets will be scored rally style

    • Two (2) sets will be played to 25 points, win by two; capped at 27 points

 

• Winner of the set gets one (1) point in pool play; if a team wins both sets they get three (3) points

• After pool play, teams will be reseeded based on points; a single elimination tournament will ensue

  • Best out of three (3) sets

  • TBD:

    • Rally style scoring or Traditional scoring

Universal:​

• Each team will be allotted one (1) timeout per set

• Team jerseys are required (must be matching, can be t-shirts, tank-tops, etc.; no shirtless)

• Players must have proper footwear (gym shoes and not street shoes)

• Only players registered will be allowed to play (must submit a roster sheet upon registration; any changes must be made prior to event start)​

• A maximum of 2 non-Southeast Asian players allowed on the court (per team) at any time

• A player cannot be registered onto more than one team, regardless of division

• Each team will provide a referee and score keeper; the losing team will be required to ref the next game unless they are playing, then the Volleyball Coordinator will find a referee and scorekeeper​

• Referee calls are final; unsportsmanlike behavior may result in being disqualified from playing for the remainder of the event; NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE and NO REFUNDS ON REGISTRATION
