-
WIAA Rules are in effect unless noted below:
-
Games will be played up to 11 by ones (1) and twos (2); you must win by two (2) points
-
Games will be timed up to 20 minutes; if no winner emerges after 20 minutes, then whichever team is leading at the 20-minute mark wins the match, regardless of the margin; Continuous clock will be in effect, except for during timeouts
-
Each team will be allotted two (2) timeouts per game
-
It is NOT "make it take it"; possession changes on every basket made
-
Teams must have matching tops (jerseys, t-shirts, tank tops, etc.; cannot be shirtless)
-
A player cannot be registered onto more than one team, regardless of division
-
At least two (2) Southeast-Asian players must be on the court (for your team) at all times
-
A maximum of 5 players per team for any division
-
Players must have proper footwear (gym shoes and not street shoes)
-
The ball must be cleared (taken behind the three point line) on ALL change of possessions
-
No foul out rule; however, it is up to the referee's discretion to disqualify a player (for the current game) for excessive fouling
-
A bonus will be awarded to the fouled team on the 5th foul; a bonus will result in the fouled player shooting one (1) free throw following the 2-point attempt process (see shooting fouls below) except for the final three (3) minutes, where a possession change will be enforced regardless if the free throw was successful or not; intentional fouls can only be committed on the person with the ball; off ball fouls will result in the fouled team retaining possession
-
Shooting fouls are as follows:
-
2-point attempt: Player will shoot one (1) free throw
-
If the free throw is made, the possession changes to the opposite team
-
-
-
If the free throw is missed, the shooting team retains possession and game play continues
-
3-point attempt: Player will have the option to shoot two (2) free throws or retain possession
-
If the player chooses to take the free throws, regardless if the free throws are made or not, the possession changes to the opposite team
-
-
And-1: if a player is fouled in the act of shooting and the shot is made, the point/s will count; regardless if the shot was a 2-point attempt or 3-point attempt, the fouled player will be awarded one (1) free throw and possession changes to the opposite team
-
If a player receives two (2) technical fouls at any point of the tournament, they are disqualified from playing in the rest of the tournament; NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE and NO REFUNDS ON REGISTRATION
-
Referee calls are final; unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a technical foul, or straight ejection
